The Postmodern Conservative movement looks upon itself as the intellectual heirs to the movement, of Buckley etc., without all the tirades and breast-beating of the anti-establishment populists like Glenn. They feel Beck is inconsistent and does not have a true conservative mindset. The author just didn't want Beck placed in the postmodern conservative universe, which another author had tried to do.... The Postmodern crowd believe the populists will fizzle out and true conservative ideas will emerge without all the drama because they are the right ideas and inherent to American ideals.
