Howard, Speaking of getting back into LGND soon, do you have access to this:
"Interesting coverage on the newswires today from :
Daily Drug & Device Market Wrap-up
Dated Octboer 30,1997
Coverage of one analyst quoted in the wrap-up is that LIGAND is the #1 stock to buy
and investors should act quickly because of recent and expected news.
I saw this on the newswire at Schwab so I don't know if it is available on the web.
Someone might check it out because I was in a hurry to get a trade in before the close
and didn't have time to check it out before leaving for a meeting."

My point is that we will be able to continue our wasteful, consuming ways, if not increase them. What will have a more meaningful impact on our economy than this Asian recession is the global bond market refusing to finance our trade deficit. They're more eager than ever to do so. One by one, the bond vigilantes are rooting out countries with big current-account deficits. Yet, they seem to have missed the biggest one of all.
