Personally, after having used Leopard for some time now, I have to say it's pretty bad. Unstable. Prefs problems. Lots of bugs.<< Doren - I can report on my experience, but I don't know how much it will help you. My experience with Leopard was always quite good. I found it to be eminently stable, both on my MacBook Pros, and on my Dual G5 Power Mac. For me, Snow Leopard has been great. It's faster, and has very subtle improvements here and there that I appreciate. Not that there haven't been a few problems here and there - mostly with third party programs that hadn't been updated yet. I have a FIreWire audio/midi interface from DigiDesign that they haven't written Snow Leopard drivers for yet. Things like that. I find that some programs won't work when I'm booted to 64-bit mode, but will when I boot to 32-bit. My girlfriend had an issue with a Microsoft wireless keyboard that she uses. The driver wasn't the issue, exactly. Snow Leopard didn't need the Microsoft driver. It was able to support the keyboard and mouse set on its own. But the Command and Option keys had switched positions. It's actually a Windows keyboard, and they're labeled Alt and Windows. Using the Microsoft driver, they worked as expected, with the keys in the analogous positions performing the analagous functions. The change rattled her. I did a bit of poking around in the keyboard prefs, and discovered what I believe is a new feature that allows the remapping of control keys, as applied only to specific keyboards. So I was able to switch the positions of her Command and Option keys for the Microsoft keyboard, while leaving them alone on the built-in keyboard. Apart from that, she has had no problems of any kind. I've had Safari crash maybe three or four times, but I don't know what to attribute that to. Overall, I'm very happy. - Allen
