The problem is that when Republicans were in control they voted for pork like democrats do now. We need principled representation like Ginrich and company. IMHO anyone who pledged to resign after a set period and didn't is not the kind of representation we need. One big difference is that Republicans granted democrats way more pork than democrats ever granted Republicans. Regardless, smaller government is better than any increase in the size of government. Restore the balance and stop federal spending outside the Constitutionally mandated programs.
