<Also what is the difference between a "strong buy" and a "buy" ???>

"buy" means use all your cash to buy the stock. "Strong buy" means use margin.

I believe that the quarter end selling should be over after tomorrow.
Although, there is a desire to beat the small investor into submission so that he won't come back into the market until his wounds heal.

If they do not say why they are doing it then they do not want you to know.

To an investor :

"Strong Buy" means buy now.
"Buy" means buy in the next quarter.
"Hold" means do nothing.

To a trader:

"Strong Buy" means buy now.
"Buy" means sell or short the stock.
"Hold" means sell yesterday or short this stock.

Dear John,
I don't think there's anything that M.Dell can do to stop this slide. The stock has been propped up by momentum investors for the past 2 years and now is getting its due. This is just a box company. Unlike Micron Electronics, Dell is totally dependent on Intel for development of its boards. It doesn't even design its own motherboards. A box is a box is a box. The average selling price of boxes is crashing and margins are soon to follow. I'm sorry to have to tell you this and only hope you bought protective puts. The carnage has only just begun. Good luck and good trading.
