Whew!! The rhetoric and emotions seem to be really heating up on this thread lately.

Has anyone considered that much of the trading today and probably for the next few weeks, will consist of a lot of chaotic "noise"? The market has become very uncertain, tense, and nervous, an ideal backdrop for program traders, hedge fund shorting, and all the other artificially induced volatility strategies that the "games players" run. To me, it seems absurd to infer another 800-1000 points up or down at this point. As others have noted here, we're probably going into a trading range for a couple of weeks until the dust settles and all the global markets stabilize for a while.

Last nights 3+ % drop in the HSI appears to be an expected correction from the almost 19% upside swing the day before.
