I can not either....it is just beyond incompetence! McNamara and LBJ came to my mind when I read the earlier "no comment" and "on the shelf" idea....We are either in there to win, or we need to get out. American lives are at stake, both Military lives, and civilian lives.

And to not heed the words of the very Commander Obama put in the theater is just incomprehensible....

Exactly this is what set up VietNam and killed over 57,000 of our soldiers, plus the Lefties were spitting on them when they came home on top of that.

Obama was just a child then, and so it seems, he is still that.

Just can't imagine having a kid over there with this much incompetence deciding his fate.</I.

over there with this much incompetence deciding his fate

Just spent time with a guy recently returned from guard duty at Guantanamo. I am appalled, sick to my stomach.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who pruned Pearl, engineered the attack, likes to pantomime a reenactment, proud of his accomplishments. His defense counsel, that America provides, allegedly gives him affectionate hugs upon entering his cell. He is (almost) untouchable.

An ambulance is stationed outside proceedings, for exclusive use of the enemy. If needed, our guys get in the queue.

Apparently one of ours died from an infection resulting from the "soup" routinely flung at our people.

Ours watched with astonishment as Olbermann broadcast about our "brutal" treatment of the captives.

Against advice, my guy honestly answered a direct query from a visiting congressman, apparently Seattle's Jim McDermott. Useless! Now some truly nasty folks will probably be transferred to within 300 miles of America's largest Muslim community.

Some of the bad guys are held in Gitmo. Others are loose in DC.

I've been appalled at Bush's domestic derelictions. But he did some important stuff right.
