Other than in your paranoid mind, we're never HAD any such treaty, understanding or policy. Ever. That is the understanding with all of our allies. You attack Israel, you attack us. That doesn't mean we fight their wars for them; but we armed them to the teeth so they could defend themselves. Precisely for that reason. And each time Israel has been attacked by the Arabs, UNPROVOKED, they have defended themselves, at times, from all their neighbors at once. They have been able to do that ONLY because of the policy of support from the United States that Obama has effectively stopped. Israel has been attacked many times. We sent no troops. We provided no air support. We may have given them some intel, but that's the extent of it. Until now, anytime they've needed ANYTHING they got it from us. But they don't expect us to fight their wars for them. And it isn't necessary.
