All you have to do is look at what he is doing and what he is saying. He thinks nothing of lying to the American people. He is absolutely convinced he is right - you can see it in that imperious pose he assumes. As an American, it should be a natural thing to hope that a president would succeed, you're supposed to wish them well. In his case, I hope he fails miserably and in disgrace, much like Carter - but before he does anymore damage.
