There are millions of people who don't exercise. There are millions of people who smoke. There are millions of people who drink to excess. There are millions of people who engage in dangerous sports.

Insurance, of whatever kind, has always meant we who are healthy will subsidize those who make bad choices. I guess I am not enough of a statist to want to interfere as much as you do. I think it's important to have a basic safety net- and I want that- even when people do not act the way you or I might want them to. And just FYI- it turns out that moderately plump people live longer. All that skinny worship (and fat bashing) might not even be the right tack to take for health. Now wouldn't that be a fine kettle of fish?
