Herb,

<<Much of the intangible value this company still possesses lies in their patent, experience and engineering focus on the high end.>>

Oh, I agree. And if I hadn't thought I could cash in on this expertise, I never would have invested in the company.

I think if anyone could have foreseen the progression in which FC technology would be adopted and which building blocks would be needed when, it would have been Ancor's own gurus, Anderson and Cornelius.

It's just that I wonder at times, (for naught I might add), given Ancor's FC expertise, why they aren't competitive on both low and high-end FC products. For example, Ancor has adapters, so why is Emulex, not Ancor, seemingly the adapter supplier of choice in Japan?

I regret on days like today that Ancor hasn't financed themselves selling FC 'commodities' rather than taking money from Joe Clueless Public, moi.

Dean

Can anyone out there explain what happened to the margins this quarter? I haven't listened to the CC, but the margins were pitiful. $3.4M sales and COGS of $2.6, for a net profit of $0.8M. That's less than 25% margin. Did they discount some goods to try to move some product, or what??

Sorry I haven't posted the contest results yet. I'm still trying to figure out how I could have been so stupid to own so many shares of this company. Not in a jovial mood!!!!

Where do we go from here????

Thanks
Jay

A patent is worth something ONLY if it is actively and rigorously marketed, regardless of how good it is.
