Well, not quite. That $1,299 unit comes with a 15.6" screen. The 16" display is a $175 upgrade. So now you're talking $1,474, plus the Apple software.

The Dell does come with a BluRay drive, which is nice, though the ethernet is only 10/100, as opposed to Gigabit ethernet in the Macs. Bluetooth seems to be an option, too.

It's a bit heavy, with a starting weight of 6.5 pounds. But I'm sure many people would be very happy with it.
