What happened to Sperry, honeywell, Univac,Eckert-Mauchly Computer Corporation and Engineering Research Associates? National Semiconductor, DEC, UMC, Chips and Technologies, NexGen, and Cyrix? Just to name a few of the casualties of technology competition. In the mean time what happened to the Department of Health Education and Welfare? Despite being as badly run it seems to have flourished into at least two larger and less efficient bureaucracies. "The difference is that businesses flush out the incompetent while government promotes theirs." Oh yeah, big business 'severely punishes' those who fail. LOL!!
