Finder,
Talk about a sick stock. Besides ASND, there is COMS. This will
make M.Lynch look good:
Oxford Health-recommended several weeks ago in mid $60 range.
Three Com-recommended 4 weeks ago at $49-51.

Great Picks!
So, goes, for analysts. Reminds me of the Centocor disaster back
in 1992. Where is the fiscal responsibility of these people?
Mark

-CISCO: New Cisco dial-access systems help service providers offer new services, scale networks Presswire - October 30, 1997 14:31 CSCO V%M2 P%M2PR M2 PRESSWIRE-30 October 1997-CISCO: New Cisco dial-access systems help service providers offer new services, scale networks (C)1994-97 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD * AccessPath-TS3 and AccessPath-LS3 deliver increased performance, flexibility, management Cisco Systems has announced two new carrier-class, integrated dial access systems. The AccessPath-TS3 and AccessPath-LS3 enable service providers and large enterprises to offer differentiated services and scale their networks to unprecedented levels of density and performance. Cisco also announced that it is expanding its Dial Access Stacking Architecture (DASA) by introducing the AccessPath System Controller, allowing distributed, large-scale network management. With AccessPath and Cisco IOS software, service providers are now able to offer competitive services beyond basic Internet dial. These include virtual private dial networks (VPDNs), multiprotocol service, multiple class of service levels, and richly detailed billing information. AccessPath and Cisco IOS software also allow the use of enhanced bandwidth optimisation techniques, such as data compression and the deployment of high-quality network security firewalls and data encryption. AccessPath-TS3 and AccessPath-LS3 incorporate Cisco's next-generation AS5300 universal access server, which is powered by a 150MHz, reduced instruction set computing (RISC) processor. This high-performance server enables AccessPath to support multiple users and bandwidth-intensive applications, such as virtual network tunnelling and network conferencing, without dropping calls. With the AS5300, AccessPath-TS3 scales from 192 to 2,016 ports in North America and from 240 to 2,520 ports in worldwide E-1 configurations. AccessPath-TS3 is The AccessPath-LS3 is designed for small to medium POPs and is scaleable from 96 to 3 84 ports in North America and from 120 to 480 ports in worldwide E-1 configurations. "Cisco's new dial access systems sets us apart from competitors because our architecture supports more than 5000 connections and enables service providers to build the largest-scale solutions in the industry," said Nigel Moulton, product marketing manager, dial access solutions, Cisco Systems EMEA. Brad Rhoades, principal engineer of !INTERPRISE Networking Services at US WEST, said: "AccessPath will scale with our network to support a rapidly growing customer base and will help us expand our geographic reach. Its architecture enables us to seamlessly integrate Cisco's AS5300 into our existing dial access infrastructure, with Cisco IOS software providing a common platform to deliver advanced network services and applications." AccessPath Manager is the Web-based software application that manages AccessPath- LS3 and AccessPath-TS3. It facilitates the distributed management of multiple dial shelves as a single entity. Management of AccessPath-TS3 and AccessPath-LS3 includes extensive status monitoring, traffic reporting, and configuration features to help service providers and enterprise customers minimise operational overhead and maximise system availability. A new Cisco IOS software-based embedded component, the AccessPath System Controller, provides AccessPath-TS3 with an enhanced out-of-band management capability by monitoring and controlling shelves within the system. It also provides fail-safe console port connectivity to all AccessPath platforms. In the future, the system controller will perform local POP polling with local storage, bulk data upload to a central site, shelf image loading, shelf health monitoring, and automated modem diagnostics with central site notification. These capabilities will give customers better management scalability, backbone bandwidth savings and more reliable management data. Notes to editors AccessPath-TS3 and AccessPath-LS3 are the newest members of Cisco's AccessPath family, introduced in June. Both are based on Cisco's advanced, Dial Access Stacking Architecture (DASA), which integrates universal dial access, routing, switching and network management. Cisco's Dial Access Stacking Architecture gives customers the ability to easily integrate new technologies and higher-density, higher-performance platforms, as their needs evolve. This scaleable architecture provides an unmatched level of investment protection and flexibility. Availability AccessPath-LS3 will be available for volume deliveries in November. It will be orderable in January 1998, and first customer shipments will X in February 1998. About Cisco Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCO) is the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet.
