Personally, I am not against government. I am against BIG government, and against its tendency to spread and grow out of control, when given half a chance.

If "I" were president, "my" administration would be cutting expenditures, rather than letting them go parabolic. "I" wouldn't sponsor any corporate bailouts and bonuses either. On that, you and I are in agreement, it appears. Investors in crappy companies and bonds *normally* should lose their investments.

That's right, I'm NOT pleased at the way corporate big shots are getting away with murder on the pay front.

There are problems with everything. Sure, that's irritating. You could reasonably call it downright wrong. You could rant and fume on and on about it if it happens to hit a particular sore spot with you.

But one needs a sense of proportion. You can't rationally leap from there to "ergo we should turn health insurance over to the government."

It is still easier and will always be easier to shed a problem business than a problem government program. Government programs never die.

If there's some particular bugbear that eats you up, then either fix that particular problem directly or learn to deal with it recognizing that warts are part of life. You want to throw the baby out with the bathwater. That's neither constructive nor smart.
