"And at two dealers the salesmen were actually trying to talk me out of the car I was interested in!"

Were they trying to get you into some more expensive wheels? Maybe their manager ordered them to push certain models.

I briefly worked as a phone collector for a payday lender. My boss took me in the office, played some tapes of some of my call, and accused me of being on the customer's "side"! I couldn't deny it..

What? You thought car salesmen were at the top of the food chain? Highly unlikely.

No but they only eat what they kill. No sales no money. And at two dealers the salesmen were actually trying to talk me out of the car I was interested in! I run sales people... would have fired them on the spot.

That doesn't sound too smart but then it dawned on me that maybe hybrid is moving on its own and that salesmen have orders to try and move the rest of the inventory.

Maybe they would just as soon not sell a car than get the measly $20 commission on the lil $2,000 Ta Ta Nano you wanted.
