I forgot totally about that Miracle Whip cake...THAT's what the Costco American Cake is like....I just knew it was like something I'd had before, and that is it. It is good, but like I said, "a little dab will do ya".... Why are you getting grief over a cake? Did you make the wrong flavor? Or did he stick his hands in the sticky frosting...<gg> I made one son years ago, something that is his very favorite of all time....a spice apple cake (to which I added cocoa) and made it in a bundt pan....Just a simple glaze. Trouble is, I can not refind the recipe anywhere....I've tried others, but they really aren't the same....and he hasn't let me forget about it either. <gg>
