You can't make everyone like you and you'd better be able to scare the people who hate you enough to want to kill you.

Changing the definition of marriage to include gays and groups will cheapen marriage further and that will cause social harm.

Science hasn't established that the world happened by accident.

Letting government massively interfere with business will create neither cooperation or prosperity.

No nation ever taxed itself to prosperity.

Haven't liberals done enough to tear down our society and weaken our defenses?

Typically not true and why it deserved the label of Straw Man. There is no argument to be made against false presumption except to label it as it is. It is a fact that you've raised false issues to criticise conservatism which only demonstrates you have no real argument. I can imagine genuine arguments for all these topics but the statements made by Z and supported by you are straw man in nature.

Show me where it has been documented or widely excepted that conservatives think they can make people like us bombing them. You can't its a straw man.

The anti-same sex marriage argument is not based on straight people thinking they will be harmed by gay marriage. The pro-gay marriage movement is based on how it will give gays the same benefits as straights, or to have the same thing as straights have in some other way. It has been defeated because the argument usually founded on a civil rights perspective has not been convincing. The anti-gay marriage people also believe it is an attack on marriage which would result in the concept becoming meaningless. When this possibility is presented, gay-marriage advocates usually say such an outcome would be acceptable as long as straights don't have something gays don't ... the people opposed to gay-marriage do not agree.

It is not a common belief among conservatives that the world was created 6000 years ago and only a small fraction of religious fundamentalists would argue that is was. A small marginalized subset does not qualify as a fact for the group. Definitely not a conservative principle.

Conservatives support anti-trust laws and other legal safeguards against corporate corruption and unfair practices. The "unfettered" growth statement is false.

Conservatives are usually in favor of cutting taxation only as it eliminates wasteful government spending. The "always" statement is false.

Z brought you some and you evaded with bullshit. Try answering his facts and then you can accuse him or anyone of not bringing any up.

-Letting gay people get married does nothing to hurt straight people

-Letting corporations operated and grow unfettered does not lead to pure competition

-Cutting taxes is not always a good thing for the economy

>>> Try answering his facts

-You can't make people like us by bombing them.

No, but bombing does sometimes solve problems.

-Letting gay people get married does nothing to hurt straight people

Perhaps, but redefining a legal term (such as "married") after 100s of years of law on the books already presumes a particular meaning is not a good idea. If homos MUST be "married" create a new term. It could be something simple, like "HOMARRIED" or "QUARRIED". Not complicated. But two homos who are married are not the same thing as a man and wife. Two different things, and they require two different names.

The world was not created 6000 years ago and dinosaurs did not roam the earth with people

So, what?

-Letting corporations operated and grow unfettered does not lead to pure competition

Increasing government regulation doesn't, either -- and it has devastating consequences for our economy. Corporations that are over-regulated will simply go somewhere to conduct their business. That's why other nations are cutting government regulation of businesses.

-Cutting taxes is not always a good thing for the economy

Of course it is. There is zero doubt about this amongst people who understand even the very basics of economics.
