Obama promised to end the wars. That's what he ran on and that's what the majority of people voted for. Personally, I don't think escalating the war in Afghanistan is consistent with our duties as a nation or with what the majority of citizens want. However, I also know there is another argument to be made that reconstitution of the Taliban could result in a future serious threat to us. That's why it is so important for the president to huddle with his General in charge and the defense chain of command to devise a workable strategy. Instead of lobbying for the Olympics or going on date night, the little fraud should be working to get our troops out of harms way.
