"...developed written language " Written language is an extension of spoken language which is derived from thought and consideration. "The Word, its uses and misuses."... may be the most concise and accurate historical perspective. Awareness combined with reason, intuition, and purpose requires a conscious effort to reveal truth and produce just outcomes. Which is why I push myself and others to use words in an impeccable manner when dealing with human issues. "War, cannibalism, rape, torture and slavery was pervasive." I'm sure you believe you are living in the best of times. Not surprising since most historians are fiercely loyal to their own circumstance. However, the case could be made that society has been de-evolving in an insidious matter where treatment of self and others relies on increasingly sophisticated, devious, and intentionally destructive ways on a path of mutual and ravenous self annihilation.
