Irby, I strongly agree with you regarding daytrade networking :
"If you can, you will join that small group of successful traders who consistently make money day after day."
My network of daytrading friends is the key of success for me ...
I really like your thoughts regarding Smart Money magazine and this thread in general.

Irby,

First let me tell you that I really enjoy your thread and you seem to be pretty open minded, taking away your infatuation with A.B. Watley.

The story in Smart Money was pretty onesided IMHO. When the author, reporter or whatever he was started by writing that SOES stood for Short Order Execution System instead of Small Order Execution System his credibility went out the window with me. If a person is going to be a professional and write an article on a subject don't you think he should at least get the name right. The magazine or the author spent some good $$$ traveling around to Houston to New Jersey ect. I think they could have been a little less slanted in their writing.

Daytrading at a office isn't for everyone but neither is trading at home. Most people haven't been as lucky as yourselve nor have they worked as hard as you have to gain an understanding of the market.

In our office we offer both remote trading and office trading. We don't let people remote trade untill they have come into the office and traded for a couple of weeks just to get the feel and be able to ask ?'s ect. We stress the importance of training and the understanding of when and more importantly when not to trade. Sure I want people to push the button but only if it is going to be mutually benifical for both parties.

There are hundreds of different styles, ways, methods to trade stocks. I am a firm believer in doing what feels right to you and then doing it better than anyonelse. I hope this all came out right. Gotta go carve pumkins with the kids. Happy trading!!

Cader
