I'm sure the problem is the lack of adequate heatproofing, ventilation, and fire suppression in most home kitchens to accomodate the true pro burners.

I tried to get a true commercial in my kitchen and your reasons are the reason I could not. It would need to be laid out as a commercial kitchen while building the house to install that type of stuff. And by the time you get true professional range hoods you then need to add air makeup units as your pulling so much air from the house for instance. Not inexpensive.

not at all. they simply don't make it, because there's no trust the builder/home owner will, do the right thing on fire proofing etc.

very simple. they don't want to be sued by stupid people.

its all so ridiculous, like everything else. anyway....

if you care, and you want it, and you want to do it, for purposes of this thread, it is both easy, cost effective and very doable.

who cares about the other bozo's in the end. let them have their cake the way they like it.

as de gustibus said, there's no accounting for taste, or practicality.
