Well, it's just like Sandisk announced that they may announce at the next earnings report that the earnings is flat. Everytime you put a date in a news, you are inviting people to sell because in people's mind, they can sell now and buy back just one day before the announcement. I see it happen so often with biotech stocks when you know approximately the time frame when the FDA will approve a drug and in the mean time, the stock is sold out. Then the stock goes up a few weeks before the FDA may give the approval.

Robert,

Re: announcement of an announcement

You do have a point Robert. However, this is not the first time I've seen this. Look at it as a good omen to buy, if that's what you are looking for. That's what I'm doing. Also, IMO, with today's market performance, and many small investors(btw I'm a small investor) holding SNDK stock, the nervous nellies started selling right when the Dow and Nasdaq started plummeting in the last few minutes.
I don't know if the stock would have ended where it did had they not made the announcement. With a small volume of shares outstanding and in the hands of many small investors, this kind of volatility is unfortunately real. Those that chose to get out dumped at the bid and supports my previous comment.

Tomorrow's another day, another opportunity.

Regards,

Mauro.

Ya gotta "announce" a press conference in advance so folks who
might wanna attend can set their schedules. I'm not in this(yet) but I've
learned not to be concerned with the day-to-day volatility in tech
stocks- use it if u wanna "play", otherwise, if you like the "fundies"
this is a buying opportunity. You may not get the lowest price, you
just wanna be way below next year's high.
Tech stocks in general got dumped today, pick up the good ones.
Just my 2 cents
