Very nice.

Well I woke to our first hard frost this morning. Clear skies and 28°. Quite nice actually. Unfortunately this season is too short and all too soon we will be dealing with snow and below 0.

Damn global warming.

Great story, MM! But, I've got to say, from my vantage point, your life is not chaos, but instead busy with life's events....Your style of writing is clear, concise, and full of wit...latent, but there.

I'd forgotten about the Story site...thanks for the reminder.

Enjoy the day, my friend!

Very nice story Moose..........you sure do have a way with words.

My grandson and I were walking on the little wood trail on our property last week and found a spider web just like the one in the picture. I looked it up............it is built by a wolf spider. My little grandson was afraid of the scene............very scary looking for a 3 1/2 yr old. I held him tight while we watched the spider go in and out of his tunnel, and as he skittered away when I brushed a salal leaf accidentially. Now every time he's here, and we take our little woods walk, I have to carry him past the spider web.

Unusual spider web that would be pretty hard to recreate.

beautiful story. thank you. true about needing to clear webs from across trails. I think that is a compromise, ya? are plenty of trees to stretch between. but ah to spend time studying them, and seeing the way various lights play through them... something to behold.
