It's kinda tough to maintain your "right" to life, liberty and happiness if you have NO access to healthcare. Of course, like Bush said, "everybody can get healthcare if they go to an emergency room". People can get healthcare now by going to an emergency room. The only problem with that is the TAXPAYERS have to PAY for the healthcare of the people that don't have insurance. I don't LIKE paying for the healthcare of the 47 million people that don't have insurance. It jacks up the cost of my own insurance. I ALSO don't like having to pay for the LIFETIME healthcare of these Senators and Congressmen and other government employees. We're paying for the healthcare of EVERYBODY anyway so I think we need to figure out how to do it as cheaply and efficiently as possible.
