Meanwhile the NYT admits it missed the story, but MSNBC plugs along with stories on the Rachael Maddow show. Last night it was The Truth about the Lies Told about ACORN. She then tied mean republicans and rich corporations to the attack on ACORN.

Yes ACORN does whatever they want and when people call "bullshit" on them it becomes the mean republicans, conservatives and business that just make them look bad.

Where in the Constitution does it require voters be signed up by a third party? Voters ideally are informed citizens who take the responsibility seriously. Those who are responsible citizens make an effort to know how and where to register and have a better chance of understanding what they are voting for. Those who care less about the process and make no effort to register on their own volition should not be sought out to become voters. Giving out cigarettes to entice someone to register to vote weakens the system and bussing them to a polling place with free lunches results in the quality of the politicians currently representing a large swath of the country, along with the executive office. Most of the congressional nitwits are elected from urban areas where Acorn has been busy at work maggotizing the electorate for the last 20 years.
