Oh..............Karen........I am sooooooooooo sorry to hear that. You were so proud to show Carolyn and I the pictures of your dear little doggies today at lunch.........they both looked like they were smiling and happy to be together.....so photogenic and rascally looking. Pixie looked like she was just that..........a little Pixie who needed bows in her fly away fur to spruce up the day. She had a mischievous look to her too, which she proved she was.

I will never forget the morning one of the boys.......can't remember which one now but I do remember they were both pretty young, came running into the house yelling that Kiki our little Burmese cat was lying under a Rhodie bush and not moving. I rushed out to find her dead. She was only 3 and to this day we do not know what happened to her. We loved Kiki.....she was the most playful and loving little cat and a part of our family.

Despite her petite size I know Pixie was a big part of your family. Caesar is going to needs lots of love and hugs now and I know you will too.

You guys have gone through a lot lately, and this is just one more test you've been given. With time your hurting hearts will heal. In the mean time please take care and know there are many folks here that are hurting right along with you.

I wish I could give you a real hug, but this will have to do.

I'm so sorry to hear about your beloved pet. They creep into your heart, cuddle up and leave a big hole when they leave. So sad.

So sorry to hear that. It hurts as bad as losing a child I think. My thoughts are with you.

Oh Karen, I'm sorry. The loss of a loved pet is so hard. They are worthy members of the family, and your grieving is worthy of them.

Your grieving is worthy of them. And they are worthy of your love. And you theirs.

Karen my heart goes out to you and your DH to hear of your loss of Pixie. Our animals are just so important to us and our families as they provide so much comfort and joy to us. Please know I am saying a prayer for y'all and Pixie that she is in Dog Heaven and happily digging holes to find some new friends to play with. I am so sorry about your loss.

My Lovey has been jumping up on my lap several times already as I try to type replies to others and her instincts seem to know my heart is sad this day and she is trying to give me much attention. Jumping up and rubbing my chin and neck with her head and I will pay extra attention to her this day. She just loves to be brushed and will make sure she enjoys an extra good one today.

Love & Hugs,
Naomi

Thoughts to you... and the pup still with you. yes, I think they do know. you've had me thinking on pets gone the last couple of days... and on the pup and cat still here. and on how Puppy (her name) missed Roscoe, her large german shepard older friend, who'd helped me bring her up, passed away. she definitely felt it. and they were bonded. she loved/s me, but they were dogs together. I was... along for the ride. :) it took her months to adjust to being an only dog, and the two of us bonding more, as I realized I needed/wanted to do more with her... when before, it'd be her and Roscoe taking off for a run, and rastling (big him very gently with my lil Puppy). dogs are remarkable creatures.
