It's tough to pick your weather, which is really key to enjoying Alaska if you're not used to it. I always said there are four kinds of weather in Juneau: Crappy, crappier, crappiest, and gorgeous. The trouble is you can't see anything when the clouds are very low. Those videos showed how really gorgeous the countryside is, but you can't see it unless you're lucky.

In Juneau, we usually had two weeks of great weather in the spring, either in April, May, or June. The rest of the year it was overcast on a nice day, and many days had rain. Every two weeks or so we'd have a sunny day.

It's really quite mild, however. Cool, but mild, except for two weeks of really cold weather in the winter and lots of snow.
