Mark,
I hope it goes to $30 because at that price, you have the opportunity of a lifetime to buy a company that may be critcal to the whole technology industry's future. Think about what drives companies like MSFT, CSCO and ORCL. They are the tech monsters. It's faster processors. Without faster processors, you can't or don't need to greatly expand the capabilities of software or routers etc. So Intel's ability to increase processing speed drives the whole tech sector.

Now there are two things that limit Intel's ability to increase processing power. The first is the so-called 'quarter micron problem' which is that it is getting difficult to cut finer and finer lines in semiconductors. After all, electrons have a physical width. Cymer is working on ultraviolet lasers to assist in the etching problem here. The other problem is the so-called 'performance gap' which is where RMBS comes in. Even if Intel makes faster processors, ultimately it doesn't matter if the processor has to wait to get information from memory (DRAM). So, the rate limiting step becomes accessing memory. Intel knows it and needs a solution that works or it can't sell us new processors every two years.

While RMBS isn't the only solution, it currently looks like the best. And if Intel continues to anoint RMBS as the solution, this stock will be a home run.

Hope you are right cause I'm betting the ranch in the 30s.

David

Yes, now let's see if it raises its' left hand....I've seen more than my share of "head" fakes, look at Lucents chart back in early spring, glad I didn't short that one, but the head and shoulders was definitely there....bp
