A question for all regarding tax-related dumping: Is it true that (most or all) mutual funds close books on Oct 31st and therefore must sell stock like descending ASND to claim tax before Nov. 1 st. If so, we may see ASND moving up after Oct 31.

thanks for the insight. Are you a buyer of more ASND at 26 and change? I have risen my tally to 1,000 shares with a breakeven around 34. I am considering picking up 500 more shares (because either 1) I am a moron, or 2) my gut instinct tells me tommorrow we will see a major rebound). Jamie, I would be a buyer of Ascend at 26 but I have no more buying power. However, I am very long Ascend. I sell naked puts all of which now are deep in the money. My exposure with long shares and the put writing is 18K shares. All I can do now is be patient and wait for the upward momentum. I am not as confident about tomorrow but feel quite confident Monday will be a strong up day for Ascend. Glenn
