Time is the relation ship between any two or more objects in space. Any particular measurement, unit etc is merely arbitrary and those measurements related to the earth are simply comfortable to those who see night and day, seasons etc. The only requirement to assign a measurement is that the relationships between objects remain relatively static.

Oh bummer! I believe the Agnostic Einstein became a believer after reading Sir Issac Newton's "Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy" and then developing his own "Theory of Relativity." Presto! The Agnostic becomes a believer that there must be a Creator. Not a specific Creator mind you but a Creator non the less. Just how much each contributed to his belief I would wager that his own work on his own theory may have played a larger part than Newton's but you could not have the one without the other. I believe Newton 's work had an effect but his own Theory was the clincher.
The why and how isn't fact it is only theory. The fact is the Agnostic became a firm believer.
Are you saying Time isn't relative? That it is absolute?
