Sounds like you have a granola you like.

If you want to try a change, we use one third each rolled oats, rye and barley. When toasted they have a much more complex flavor. We also sweeten with one half honey and one half molasses. Always vary the dried fruit - peaches or apricots from our family's trees or mangoes, dates, raisins, cranberries....

I totally forgot about sunflower seeds. I'll give those a try next time. Just made a double batch (about 8 lbs.) yesterday.
