So is the American dream working hard to get ahead so you can pay taxes to support the more than 53% who don't pay taxes? Or is it kinda just hangin' out or finally giving up on finding a job so that the toiling schleps of the world can support you.

I have a friend who for the last 26 years has lived on a boat anchored in the free waters between Sausalito and the Belvedere/Tiburon peninsula. He is a street performer and is paid cash.

He pays no rent/no mortgage

He receives food stamps and 100% medical (and I think dental too)

I'm not sure but I dont think he pays ANY taxes (other than sales tax)

His utility bill (gas for generator) runs him about $100.00 per month.

oh, and the 50 ft boat he lives on now was GIVEN to him after his 26 ft boat sunk.

AND YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE RICH
