Oh, puh-leeeze. Like the IOC could give a rat's ass about anything hypothetical or real which is so trivial in the big scheme of things. How about the high crime rate in Chicago, or the multiple black eyes the US got under GW and how about the hundreds of billions (trillions?) of toxic waste churned out by the US and foisted on foreigners in the last few years? That would leave a rather sour taste, I'd think. How about the perpetual war machine in the US? How about the dollar reserve currency that's been exploited for a generation and which is now the 4000 pound dinosaur in the living room which nobody can get rid of without having their entire house destroyed.
