I think those top 10 picks from oberweiss are outdated...

also the 2.50 eps estimate was likely pre-split...so thats 1.25
up from .88 this year. Still quite healthy growth. I bought the
stock over last 2-3 weeks at average of 27.65 per share, so maybe
Im in better position than some of you...though on paper I think
Im down 18,000 in a hurry. I remember buying SPEEDFAM last year
in may at 19 per share, another chip equip maker, they were also
kicking butt fundamentals strong etc... but in wrong sector at
wrong time. Stock fell to 11 by sept... then ran as high as
60 just recently, now at 37 which is also a bargain. It is with
this experience that I have learned to be patient when Ive done
my research and I have the company fundamentals very strongly intact.
This is a time to chill... relax... buy more if you want... but the
bottom is around $22, we may see it very soon. Again, I reiterate my
prediction of a $60 stock price by Dec of 98...for that I will wait and
reap a fat profit of $193,315... up from my current losses... I think I can
wait... cant you???

OBERUNWISE REPORT

Gary,

The "Top Ten" list you refer to was published in the September 1997
issue of "THE OBERWEIS REPORT." However, the reptile is correct in
stating that they also sold their position as documented in the
October 1997 issue ("Closed Out Positions By Year")

One interesting note about this is that I contacted the brokerage
to inquire about them closing their Cymer position and the dialog was roughly:

>>I noticed in your October newsletter that you have closed your Cymer
>>position. Can you explain why?
"We hear that there are technical problems with their laser... "

>>Even though the CEO of Cymer and Nikon have stated there are NO
>>TECHNICAL PROBLEMS???
"That's not what the stock price is telling me..."

END CONVERSATION

How weak! This to me was just a reaction following an action by Montgomery and Morgan Stanley combined with bogus rumors...

Cymer is a great company and is doing a great job. However, I feel as some of you do that Cymer (Angus, +...) needs to be more proactive with PR work. From listening to the conference call I
know they are making more of an effort here but I think it would
be wise to get on the horn with Brett and Jay (it is very hard for
me to accept "Neutral" and "Hold" ratings from these guys after
supposedly "clearing the air" with the latest earnings report and
conference call -- Something reeks about this whole thing...)

LONG CYMER
