wow. that is a most excellent cat story. and Part Time. that makes me smile.

someone suggested last night writing down stories, and I think she has a point. stories like that are part of it... thinking of your children who grew up with him one day sitting as they put their children to sleep and saying "there once was cat named Part Time..." yep, one for the books.

funny how it is often that animals pick us... not the other way around.

Another great story from both you and chooseanother re our animals....PartTime knew he was in very good hands indeed...and sounds like Puppy does know that as well.

I came to the conclusion this morning while watching Caesar who is still mopey, (unless there is a treat in sight)...that Pixie rescued us, rather than the other way around like I thought.

She taught us how to laugh at nearly anything...I'll remember her forever for being so afraid and showing it, then finally letting down her guard, more and more. She was sassy, but then loving the next minute. We loved the way she guarded what was hers...then left it there, and petticoats (long straight silky hair) swishing as she walked.....and on a dime, if Caesar was ANYPLACE close to her treat/bone/or whatever she was guarding and left, she'd race so fast you could only see the flash of white, and was IN YOUR FACE to let you, or CZ, or a bird who was actually the "owner" of whatever it was.

Past the tears, I'll always remember her with a smile in my heart, as well as on my face.
