Another story about Char - the German Shepherd-Collie mix. I was pushing my daughter in a stroller, while pregnant with my son, and walking Char. Her favorite thing was chasing neighborhood cats up a tree - never intending to catch them. One day, someone's white bunny was in their front yard munching on the grass and Char took off to chase it. It ran around in circles with Char behind it. It finally gave up and surrendered to its fate. I was running as fast as I could yelling NO at Char and caught up just as her big jaws were coming down around the bunny's neck. I was still screaming NO. She gently wrapped her mouth around the bunny's neck, picked her up and brought her over to my daughter and placed the bunny on the tray in front of my 2 YO.
