When my granddaughter rescued Lovey Dovey from a group of teenagers at a County fair who were abusing her, she was not weaned and my daughter got up every four hours to feed her with a doll bottle hoping to bring her back to health and I brought her home about two and a half months later. She quickly bonded with me and my husband and has actually been the sweetest cat we have ever had in our home.

She still gets up on me mostly in the morning and wants to nurse the covers with her paws pressing quickly against them. I allow it as she never had enough nursing time when she needed it even with my daughter bottle feeding her. She picked only me to do that and has never tried to do the same with my husband. She does get up on his lap when he is reading his paper and he lets her and he is a guy who never liked cats in his early years, but admits now that she is just so sweet he loves her. She just jumped on my lap so guess she thinks it is brushing time for today...and I'll close down now.
