The phrase "such as what Obama is trying to do" refers to the fact that Obama is trying to drop a massive entitlement on us that will cost 100s of billions, trillions in the future.

FDR would have done health care, but he would at least TRIED to pay for it.

Obama isn't even trying. He's just lying through his teeth about it. The costs are simply deferred until he's out of office.

The country can't afford it. Even had he not done this insane stimulus package, we couldn't afford it. Because every health care bill under consideration will saddle future generations with massive tax liabilities and a government bureaucracy that grows without bound.
