Does anybody know if fidelity funds can be shorted? I'm making tidy profit in BEARX and RYURX and want to short some of the fidelity funds.

Hi Dennis,

I will send you the address tomorrow, I cant get at it right now....The software is good ahd you can learn a lot from it but it is very tedious to keep up. You need a data feed to down load into the database and that is part of the process. The package is still a DOS database which should be upgraded in the coming months. Actually, i think it only cost about $35 with a 30 day trial feed. Essentially, Fast Track gives you the software and manual and just charges for the data feed. The maual is worth the price of admission because of t he very robust discussion about the fund switching philosophy.

I tried it but Bernie is a lot better at a diciplined approach to the process than I am. He also is a technical chartest so I can manage this part of my time in other persuits than trying to do my own analysis. He is very good and very accurate. He tries to error on the side of minimizing risk...i.e. the charts told him to go to cash in July of 96, March of 97 and a couple of weeks ago...Q.E.D.

I don't try to second guess him for the funds that I trade..

Regards
