One of our former governors, Gary King, caught Holy Hell from the local news media for saying in a speech, "...release a whole box of Pandoras..." Improperly using an aphorism that you don't understand can make you seem wrong in your whole argument, as it does here.

The mythical Pandora was a young girl who, in defiance of her parent's orders, opened a box containing all the evils of the world, thereby releasing them upon humanity. Pandora was never in the box, you see.

I suspect you may be right about conservatives regretting their protests now, when/if they ever regain political prominence. The ability of the Soros crowd to PAY for so-called grass roots protesters to disrupt activities is limited only by the depth of their war chests.
