I think religions are perpetrated out of FEAR.. We fear hell and damnation. We fear everything. It is the root of why we have a lot of the behaviors we have. Look at the way the Patriotic Act was pushed through. Screw our civil liberties or the threat of this act against it. We fear one another. Hence the need for guns... Think of how many human behaviors are motivated by the fear factor and basically what it all comes down to is we fear dying. That unknown. That abyss where none of us knows what will happen or where we go. As I receive more and more death notices of former colleagues of mine it brings the issue closer each day. AND then I was so ill this year it was omnipresent for me too. AND I had choices to make. How afraid am I ?
