I was rooting for Rio so it's not that big a deal to me. BUT, let's say the SAME situation had come up in July of 2001 and Dallas had been in the running for the Olympics. You don't think Bush would have gone to Copenhagen to make a case for it, especially since ALL of Texas would probably have been asking him to do so? And if he had, do you think he and Laura would have talked about Dallas as if they had never been there? They would have said I did this in Dallas and my Father did that in Dallas and my family loves Dallas, etc., etc., etc. If you attack Obama on PETTY stuff then I think you lose credibility attacking him on important stuff. Bush spent MORE time on vacation than ANY other President in history, but I've never really made a big deal of that because I don't think it's relevant to his performance on the ISSUES.
