Uncle, great piece of work . It seems to me that Mr Fed got just what he wanted this week. A cooling of the markets without having to raise rates and put the economy into a recession. To claim this flight to quality, these governments sold the dollar on Tuesday and brought the bond down which prevented a melt down. This was a masterful touch by the hand of governments involved. I look for more of the same if the bond continues to be strong.
The markets must sort these valuations out until they can get a bead on the extent of this Asian crisis and to what extent it impacks corporate profits. Now wouldn't it be reasonable to expect the market to test the recent lows over the next few days/weeks? And if this test holds we move sideways and build another base. With best regards.
