Your post is not correct.

COLA will not increase this year because the change in CPI-W (Q3 2008 to Q3 2009) will be negative.

Here is the Social Security website that explains how this works:

This has been the law since 1975. (with a few changes in the early '80s).

the ONLY way to send Congress a message they are capable of understanding is to vote out ALL incumbents, regardless of their party affiliation, unless the person is the very rare good congressman.

I wonder if there are still people out there foolish enough to think one party is better than the other. At this point, those people are either not paying attention or they simply have no brainwave activity.
