You must be exempt from the medicare withholding that the majority of social security recipients are subject to. This would explain why you are unaware of it.

even if no earned income but enhanced life insurance policy from your company . you pay soc sec tax and medicare tax on company contributions.

It has nothing to do with weather or not you are collecting soc sec , medicare or not.

i have been paying these extra charges for over a decade before age 60 and after age 65.

i cannot discuss earned income haven't seen that stuff in almost two decades.
