Soya beans taste bad - that's the best guide. Though genuine soya sauce is good.

If things don't taste good to eat, they probably aren't good to eat.

The converse is not true = if they taste good to eat, that doesn't mean they are good to eat if made by people [as against being free range wild food].

Soya is an excellent food. You can live without meat eating it as a source of protein.
