Buck,

For those of us who are older I think our greatest concern is to generate income from assets. I have been doing that now for almost a year using Covered Calls. Energy stocks have been particularly good for this activity as the call premiums on many have been good. Additionally, since many have been rising the shares have not only yielded call premiums but have generated small capital gains when the shares are called.

Energy shares I have done, and am doing, include Denbury Resources (DNR), Stone Energy (SGY), McMoran (MMR), Caldive (DVR) and Hercules (HERO).

I have also done this with the Natural Gas ETF UNG.

When I started this effort I sold all my speculative plays and took my losses. The losses are covering this years gains from Covered Calls.

I no longer play for home runs but gladly accept bunt singles.

Bob
