I am also a VERY UNHAPPY E.Schwab customer. I am also a subscriber
to thestreet.com
Those F%#$@#!%ng lying people tried to made me believe it was my browser's problem or the exchange fault. When in fact it was their undercapacity.
I am definitely going to open an account with Datek with a view to
switching entirely.
I lost $4000 not being able to cover a short in time.
I feel F%*#@$#ked by Charles Schwab
And imagine I am paying $29.95 for under 1001 shares.

>> Datek wins Cramer survey << I agree that technically DATEK has been outstanding in the way they stood up this past week. I do believe that their ISP and immediate network have weaknesses and maybe they need to spread some of the load around. I have seen no evidence that quotes cause problems, and if they restricted them all that would happen is that users would continually access their portfolios or place dummy orders in order to get the prices which could load up the system even more. I believe that a lot of the delays that some people complained of were caused by delays by the MM's and Specialists due to their inability or unwillingness to handle some orders. No "extra charge" service is going to solve that problem. To sum up I believe DATEK is doing a good job with their internal capacity but are the pipes in and out up to carrying the load?
