evidently you have not had an amount show on your w2 statement in box 12 a,b,c, let's explore further,, if in box b it prints M with amount go to back of w2 for further instructions.

M== uncollected soc sec tax or rrta tax on taxable cost of group term life insurance over $50,000.

if in box 12 c you get N with amount to go back of your w2..

N- uncollected medicare tax on taxable cost of group term life insurance over $50,000.

to report this tax amount you show UT on 1040 under other taxes, bottom line. write in on total tax line "ut" and amount.. add that amount to any other taxes in the group.

hope this helps ya out.

ps this is stuff you may experience once retired and no withholding esp with no pension income or other income.

Not necessarily healthcare related, but Pelosi was on Charlie Rose last night for the entire hour and when they were talking about deficit financing she plainly stated that a VAT for the US is definitely on the table...
